Steel is a kind of alloy iron, which has different properties and uses by adding different elements, such as carbon, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, etc., and different heat treatment processes. In general, the alloy iron with a carbon content of less than 2% is called steel, and the carbon content of more than 2% is called cast iron.

According to different processing methods, steel can be divided into hot rolled steel and cold rolled steel. Hot rolled steel is a steel billet heated to a high temperature state, through rolling and pressing molding, has good plasticity, usually used to manufacture large components and structural parts. Cold rolled steel, which is rolled and pressed at room temperature, has higher hardness and strength and is usually used to make products such as elongated profiles and thin sheets.
