The main difference between hot rolled aluminum and cold rolled aluminum is that the processing technology is not the same!

Hot rolled aluminum sheet: Aluminum ingot - smelt and cast into flat ingot - milling - homogenizing annealing - hot rolled into strip

Cold rolled aluminum sheet: Aluminum ingot - smelt - rolled into strip by casting mill

Compared with the cold-rolled aluminum plate, the production efficiency is high, but the defects such as component segregation and inclusion are not easy to solve, and the quality is not as good as that of hot-rolled aluminum plate.

Other differences:

(1) Price: cold-rolled aluminum sheet process is simple, the price is cheaper than hot-rolled aluminum sheet;

(2) Different properties: hot rolled aluminum plate surface quality is good, mechanical properties and ductility is strong, good oxidation effect;

(3) Different uses: cold-rolled aluminum plate is mostly used for mold, hot-rolled aluminum plate is suitable for stamping and drawing;

(4) The difference between the finished product: usually the elongation of the cold-rolled final product is lower than that of the hot-rolled final product.
